How music can be beneficial to mothers during pregnancy

Updated: Jul 14, 2020

How music can be beneficial to mothers during pregnancy. New studies suggest that babies remember music they listened to in the womb for up to 4 months after being born and we know music is a form of therapy and has a positive effect on us.

Some benefits of music therapy:

1. Music therapy can improve sleep quality.

2. It helps to release stress and anxiety during pregnancy.

3. Music can help in lowering blood pressure, including hypertension / preeclampsia.

So why not incorporate music into your pregnancy journey. Don’t listen to music just because it is good for your baby, listen to your feelings instead. If you feel relaxed when listening to music or singing, chances are that your baby will feel the same too.
